Pre-competition: Usually about 1st to 2nd of each month.

  1. Announce the close of nominations at midnight GMT on the last day of the month.
  2. Run an end-of-month script that sets everything up for the voting pages.
  3. Call for members' selections for the Final List, and wait 24-48 hours for their selections to come in.
  4. Edit the nomination text file using members' selections and requests for category changes.
  5. Create a page for the Special Category anagrams. This is the only page still done by hand because of the complexity of these anagrams.
  6. Make selections for those members who do not send in their own.
  7. Run the script which will automatically convert the text file into the ballot pages.
  8. Test the Voting Page and the Leaders Board. Correct any errors.
  9. Final test the Voting Page.
  10. Open the voting.

The competition: Usually in the first week each month, avoiding any weekend days.

  1. Run the script that opens voting.
  2. Announce the opening of voting on the Anagrammy Forum.
  3. Send out the Reminder Email to list, when voting opens and 24 hours before it closes.
  4. Start monitoring emailed votes, watching for duplicate votes.
  5. Run the script that closes voting.
  6. Announce closure of voting and preliminary results.

Post-competition: Usually before or in the second week of each month.

  1. Select the Awardsmaster's Choice Award for the best anagram by a non-winning author.
  2. Enter the DFE points into an Excel file to calculate the progressive scores.
  3. Announce the official winners in the Anagrammy Forum.
  4. Update all the files below.

Miscellaneous tasks: The rest of the month.

  1. Monitor the Anagrammy Forum for errors, troll posts, spam, etc. Forum Moderators assist with this.
  2. Add announcements to the Forum. Forum Moderators also assist with this.
  3. Monitor the Forum Stats pages.
  4. Make occasional design changes, edit and optimise HTML code.
  5. Try out new ideas.
  6. Create a few anagrams, if I get a chance.
  7. Nominate other members' anagrams.
