Luke 2:10-14

Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

The birth of the Christ child in Bethlehem:

A radiant, divine Virgin Mary (with glowing corona) held the idyllic baby Jesus, who was snuggly and giggly. This beautiful lady bearing God's only son is truly a profound, fantastic mystery of Good Hope.

Then the tiny, adorable infant napped with ewes on hay -- with astounded shepherds lauding.

Later, three Oriental sages follow a nova, each hoping to unload gold, oil, and other oddish goodies.

A verse-by-verse anagram, including the title.

Smells Like Teen Spirit
-- Nirvana

Load up on guns and bring your friends
It's fun to lose and to pretend
She's over-bored and self-assured
Oh no, I know a dirty word

With the light out, it's less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us
A mulatto, an albino, a mosquito
My libido

I'm worse at what I do best
And for this gift I feel blessed
Our little group has always been
And always will until the end

And I forget just why I taste
Oh yeah, I guess it makes me smile
I found it hard, it's hard to find
Oh well, whatever, nevermind

Tastes Like Liver, Man
-- Inner Lips

Draw your pistols, get your buds
It's grand to invent and be a dud
Her fashion's dull and error-proof
OK, send nonsense end: 'I woof!'

With no color, it's not so ominous
Generate the interest with us
I am so awful-queer and leprous
Generate the interest with us
A Latino, an Anglo, a wild beau
My bid adieu

I'm stale with passable ability
I felt it: trustful, glad, set free
We're here. Undo, disband? No --
And on the show will always go

Why savor rum with my tongue?
Hah! 'It makes me jollified,' I sung
Isn't effortless to harvest, indeed
Ah, drat. -- I die with a need...

A poem inspired by http://www.funnypoets.com/timbuktu.htm.

Write any poem with 'Timbuktu.'
What's a numb redneck to do?
"Want a minute..." He was spent.
He spouted one and here it went:

Tim and me a huntin' went,
Met three whores in a pop-up tent.
They was three and we was two,
So I bucked one and Timbuktu.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic, for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

I'd call it one irrefutably fantastic place (the oil-fiend President George Bush and all), considering that I've the distinct unalienable freedom to go out, do what I wish. - J.F.
