SONG FOR THE ASKING
(Lyrics by Paul Simon)

Here is my song for the asking,
Ask me and I will play
So sweetly I'll make you smile.

This is my tune for the taking,
Take it, don't turn away,
I've been waiting all my life.

Thinking it over, I've been sad,
Thinking it over I’d be more than glad
To change my ways for the asking,
Ask me and I will play,
All the love that I hold inside.

LADY-KILLER
(Killing by King Henry VIII)

Here is my song to my ladies,
Kath was the lady of Spain,
Anne B gave me syphilis.

Seymour I loved but I lost her,
And frail little Anne of Cleves,
Was an ugly mug, to the men.

Two whining wives lost their heads,
Fittingly Katie, she got too kinky
And kittenish, for my liking,
Catherine was on a par;
All moaned at me - big mistake!

I started a joke
Which started the whole world crying,
But I didn't see,
That the joke was on me.

I started to cry
Which started the whole world laughing,
Oh if I'd only seen
That the joke was on me.

I looked at the skies,
Running my hands over my eyes,
And I fell out of bed
Hurting my head, from things that I said.

Till I finally died,
Which started the whole world living,
Oh, if I'd only seen
That the joke was on me.

(THE BEE GEES)

I started a war
Without a clear objective,
Oh, but I did not know
How the killing would grow.

I started the fight
Which rekindled a holy jihad;
Oh, this fool did not see
That the jerk here was me.

I sent in my jets,
Then called the marines, the SAS;
Oh, they looked down the drains,
Tryin' to find clever Saddam Hussein.

Then I finally saw
The folly of what I started;
I'd egged my men on with glee,
Yet the yolk is on me!

(GEORGE BUSH)

WE ARE FAMILY

We are family,
I got all my sisters with me;
We are family,
Get up ev'rybody and sing.

Ev'ryone can see we're together
As we walk on by,
(FLY!) and we fly just like birds of a feather,
I won't tell no lie.
(ALL!) all of the people around us, they say
Can they be that close?
Just let me state for the record
We're giving love in a family dose.

We are family,
I got all my sisters with me;
We are family,
Get up ev'rybody and sing.

Living life is fun and we've just begun
To get our share of the world's delights,
(HIGH!) high hopes we have for the future,
And our goal's in sight.
(WE!) no we don't get depressed,
Here's what we call our golden rule,
Have faith in you and the things you do,
You won't go wrong,
This is our family Jewel.

We are family,
I got all my sisters with me,
We are family,
Get up ev'rybody and sing.

Royal family,
Edward, Anne, sweet William, Sophie,
Giggling, fat Andy,
Ev'rybody do yo' thing.

Ev'ryone sees we are royal
As we're gliding by,
(FLOAT!) yes we float just like the toffs we are,
But we never mention Di.
(ALL!) the serfs down there say,
How'd you get t'be so posh?
Well, look at our mega jewels,
Truth is we have a lot of dosh.

Royal family,
William, stern Annie, Fergie,
Philip, Her Majesty,
Mamma get down move that thing.

Livin' in a palace is cool, as a general rule,
'cept for fussy functions every day,
(WHY!) why d'we have them stuffy state gigs?
It doesn't give us time to play.
(WE!) we never feel the sad stuff,
The only blue is in our blood;
We are getting higher and higher,
While you're just gurgling in the mud.

Royal family,
Charles, wet Edward, Fergie,
Royal family,
We're useless but we do our thing.

An author owned an *
And kept it in his den,
Where he wrote tales, which had large sales,
Of erring maids and men;
And every time he breached the point
Where stuffy censors lurk,
He called upon that * to do his dirty work!

I hate the wretched ampers&
It's rude, rash, stark & underh&
Oh how annoying when you scan
An ampers& instead of 'and'!
If I were king of all the l&
I'd decree to have it b&,
Or well & truly choked in s&,
Then drowned - the hated ampers&!

Thirty days hath September,
April, June and November.
All the rest have thirty-one,
Excepting February alone,
Which has but twenty-eight days clear
And twenty-nine in each leap year.

The handy brain-jogger that we,
Exercise repetitively,
Ensures that we'll learn by heart,
The days of the month, time apart,
And hence unravel by and by,
Any uncertainties which apply!
