Word lists

We have collected several word lists over the years that can be used with some anagram generators, including Anagrams 2.4 (for Macintosh), Anagram Genius V9 and Anagram Artist 3.0. Please consult the Help file with each program for instructions how to use your own word lists.

There are several files available to download for free. All are in lowercase.

Use Right Mouse Click, then "Save Target As":

• 94,297 first names and surnames (1768K)
• 157,857 common and rare words (1416K)
• 105,989 more or less common words (851K)
• 25,867 very common words (201K)
• 10,400 first names (71K)
• 6926 girls' names (48K)
• 4132 boys' names (28K)
• 243 countries' names (2.5K)
• 113 chemical elements (1K)
