Poems, songs and Shakespearean quotes have become a major source of inspiration to anagrammatists since the Anagrammies began. Here is a comprehensive archive of all such literary anagrams that have been nominated for Anagrammy Awards. Most of these have been nominated in either the Long Category or, more usually, the Special Category of the Awards. |
Some are poems or songs that are anagrammed into new poems or songs; some are poems or songs that are anagrammed into prose; others are prose anagrammed into a poem or a song. They vary in size from tiny nursery rhymes to massive poems occupying a page of their own. The largest is 935,763 letters in length and can be found here. |
Maintained by Harshal M. (from May 2011).
Previously maintained by Richard Grantham, Anagrammy Archivist, and Larry Brash, Anagrammy Awardsmaster.
